Belt Sander

Belt Sanders are fast and powerful for removing old finish from wood, smoothing large surfaces, or thinning material. Hold this heavy duty machine with two hands, securing your work piece firmly.

Prepare Before Use

• Secure your work with clamps, or it will be thrown backwards at high speed by the tool.

  • Smaller workpieces can be backed against a homemade brace, made by tacking or clamping a strip of wood to your work surface.

• Keep power cord clear of your work area.

• Check and empty the dustbag before turning on.

• Remove the dust bag and connect the dust exhaust to a vacuum hose or shop vac when working indoors to minimize dust.

• Wear eye protection and a face mask.

Tool Tips

• Grip firmly with two hands while operating tool.

• Allow the tool too reach full speed before touching workpiece.

• lower the tool gently, letting the weight of the tool do the work.

• Keep the sander moving. Sanding in one place will make an uneven surface quickly.

• Lift the sander off the workpiece before turning off.

• allow the sander to stop completely before setting it down.
